Firo Prochainezo is Narita's self-proclaimed main character of the story and member of the Martillo family. He becomes immortal in 1930 after drinking the life elixir, which was mistaken as a bottle of alcohol- in one way, definitely a lucky coincidence. After all, otherwise he'd have never met Ennis (and he'd have faced death moments later, cough)

       Ennis is a homunculus created by Szilard as his subordinate, trained to not have any emotions or own thoughts at all. It's thanks to Isaac & Miria that Ennis finally listens to her heart and not Szilard's orders. In the end, she helps Firo destroy Szilard.

       Firo and Ennis first coincidentally meet in the year 1930 (The Rolling Bootlegs). At that time, Ennis happens to lose one of her sleeve buttons, and Firo chases her to return it. When he reaches Ennis, she immediately attacks him, thinking he is with Maiza (who was just fighting Szilard at the very same moment), but eventually Firo is able to explain himself, and how he only wanted to return her button.

       This is also the breaking point of Ennis' life- she finally gains freedom after Firo saves her life through "eating" Szilard, the man who created her. Thus he also gained all of Szilard's knowledge, but after the fight, he still asked Ennis what her name was (despite already knowing it). When Ennis answered and asked him why he still asked, he simply smiled and said he wanted to hear it from her lips.

       The two of them get married later on, in 2002- let's hope this is only the start of our two beautiful lovers ;) | Go back?
